Imaginisce: Pinterest Inspired, and the Little Princess Collection

I came across this image on Pinterest, and thought it would make a great card with the pretty purple paper from Imaginisce's Little Princess collection...

Aren't those little pansies cute? Here is my take on it...

Oh, Hello

 Supply List
Imaginisce: Little Princess (6x6 pad); i-Rock Tool and gems
American Crafts: White Cardstock

It just took a one inch circle punch for the petals, a five petal flower for the leaves, and a  small flower punch for the center. I also used a yellow marker and a gem for a little more detail.  Sooo quick and easy....

Imaginisce: Mother's Day Card

I'm a little late to the game in posting Mother's Day projects, but that's ok...I was late dropping it in the mail, too. (Sorry, Mom!) Oddly enough, I used the Little Princess collection, but kept the color scheme monochromatic...making it elegant enough for Mom's Day :)

Mom

Supply List
Imaginisce: Little Princess (6x6 pad, plasic buttons); i-Rock Tool and gems
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Baker's Twine

Quick note: I love this 3x6 size for cards, they always seem to come together so quickly/easily.  I usually add texture to the background, use a square or small rectangle to add a focal point/sentiment, and leave lots of white space...It kind of takes all of the guess work right out of designing a card.

Imaginisce: Graduation Theme

It was all about graduation season over at Imaginisce this week...

Hooray for Today

Supply List
Imaginisce:  Welcome Spring (Hop to it, Dainty Floral, Flying Colors, Vintage Floral, Pinwheels&Banners, Hello Little Friend); Perfect Vacation (Away We Go, Good Times); i-Rock Tool & Gems
American Crafts: Cardstock

For this layout, I combined the welcome Spring and Perfect Vacation collections. I chose my patterned paper from each collection based on colors from my photo. I though flags were the perfect shape to add to a page about a celebration, and added studs for a little bit of dimension.

Be sure to go over to Imaginisce, you'll want to check out all of the great graduation themed projects from this past week.

Bella Blvd: Monday Morning Challenge

It's time for the Monday Morning Challenge over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog, today.  The challenge was to incorporate circles onto a project....

My Mornings

Supplies:
Scattered Sprinkles: Bell Pepper Sprinkles, Pickle Juice Sprinkles, Peep Sprinkles, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Classic Calendars: McIntosh Calendar, Peep Calendar, Pickle Juice Calendar, Treasures & Text; Summer Squeeze: Just Write Journaling Stickers; High Five Alphas: Black-White; Button Market: Outdoors

I cropped the calendar paper down to include Mon.-Fri., since this is what a typical school morning looks like for me. My circles are 4"(2), 3", 2.5", and 1.5". I knew that I wanted the photo in the bottom right corner, so I just played around with the circles until I liked the way they looked for a background. Next, I topped with the title and embellishments, then finished by putting my journaling in the only spot left.

You won't want to miss all of the other great projects made for this fun challenge, so head on over to Bella Blvd to take a look!

Bella Blvd: National Scrapbooking Day!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!! Today over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog, we're celebrating with a new post every 2 hours! We all created pages about ourselves, and I chose to talk about a few hobbies...

In My SpareTime
Supplies:
Family Forever: Sunday Brunch, Treasures & Text, Trinkets; Lucky Starz: Treasures & Text; Sand & Surf: Cling Stamps; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Scallop; Crochet Flowers: Juniper; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Ice; High Five Alpha Stickers: Piggy Punch, Color Wheel; Designer Tape: Red Chevron, Yellow Chevron

I think most of us who are moms know what it's like to have to 'make' time to do the extra things we enjoy. So, I created a page all about how I squeeze those extra things into my day. Sometimes, it may just be one or two of those things, and on some days...not any of them. I am satisfied usually if I can at least get in a little scrapbooking :)
