Color Combos Galore #242 - A Touch of Gold

Week One of May is up over at Color Combos Galore!

This board is perfect for celebrating Mom...which is good for me, because I hadn't even started my Mother's Day cards, yet :) Now I can check one off of my list....it's a good thing there are only two on my list ;)

Mom:

Supply List:
Stampin' Up! - Cardstock (Blush Blossom, Very Vanilla, Basic Black); Ink (Cameo Coral, Rose Romance); Embossing Folder (Vintage Wallpaper); Die (Square Lattice); Rhinestones
Spellbinders - Label Die
Ranger - Gold Stickles
LilyBee Design - Letter Stickers
Prima - Flowers
My Mind's Eye - Patterned Paper (striped)
American Crafts - Large Silver Brad
Recollections - Gold Pearls

Inspiration Photo #4/Focus On Theme: Mother
Other Inspiration:
Inspiration Photo #1: lattice die cut (idea: lattice birdcage); flower with gem center (idea: flower and center)

For the flower:  I took 2 off-white flowers and inked them up with both Cameo Coral, and Rose Romance inks from Stampin' Up!  They turned out way darker than I wanted...but, I think I achieved the same color
family :)  I then outlined them both with gold Stickles.  Next, I covered a large silver brad with two different sized rhinestones (medium sized in the center, small on the outside), and stuck it through the  flowers and black label.
Don't miss out playing along...the deadline for May is the 28th.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, my gracious, Kelly, that flower is absolutely scrumptious! LOVE the gem-studded center and those glittery edges! I also love your layered, die-cut bits! So pretty!
