Just Some Bella Blvd Projects...

Okay...I bought the Bella Blvd Sunshine and Happiness theme set and stickers found here...

...and here....

...And, I really only ended up making cards with it.  But, that's ok...because I think they turned out really cute, and I want to share them.  So, here they are...

Celebrate Today:

I just cut out the flowers from one of the sheets of patterned paper for my focal point, and grounded it on one of the journaling cards. I added a stamp to one of the stickers for my sentiment, added a strip of patterned paper to an embossed card base....put it all together, and Voila! Simple, simple.

Delight:

I used the same technique to make my circle border on this card that I used here.  So fun, if you have a lot of different border punches, that also means you have a lot of circle border options :)

Stick Together:

Another super easy one. If you can pick out something for a large focal point, usually the rest of the card comes together really quickly.

Sunshine & Happiness

I thought this journal card was adorable as a large sentiment, and the chevron embossing folder seemed to enhance these papers perfectly.

Small Wonder:

I made this card for a 'Card Crazy Saturday' post over at the MemoryWorks blog.  You can see that post here.

Sunshine & Happiness (Again!! You can never have too much ) :

As seen here for another post on the MemoryWorks blog.

That's it.....

CASE Study #109, Love to Create #33, Papertake Weekly

I've been wanting to get back in the routine of getting a couple of challenges in every week. It's been hard with school starting back up, and this year I'm teaching 4 kids instead of 3! But, I was browsing the challenges and found 3 of them that I thought would mesh pretty well together.

So...here is this week's inspiration from CASE Study's September muse, Yoshie Nakagaki (Torico):

I added the challenge to add 'Things with Wings' from the Love to Create Challenge Blog .....and one more challenge from Papertake Weekly Challenges to use 'Hazy Shades of Autumn'....

...and came up with this:

I usually don't color my stamped images...but the card looked a little plain without it.  So, I just 'water colored' the little owl with a blender pen and an ink pad.

I haven't really used this owl set very much...I forget that I have it :)  But, it is really cute, and I will probably be digging it out more often.  Anyway....

Here is the supply list:

Stamps - Bo Bunny (Falling 4 U); Stampin' Up! (Lot's of Thoughts)
Cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Soft Sky, Very Vanilla)
Ink - Stampin' Up! (Early Espresso, Soft Sky, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard); Ranger (Walnut Stain)
Patterned Paper - My Mind's Eye
other - Stampin' Up! (rhinestones, Early Espresso Baker's Twine)
unknown - button

Retro Sketches #28, Dynamic Duos #19, Just Add Ink #134

Whew! It's been awhile....The end of my summer was quite busy, and then of course it was time to get ready for school. Now that school has started, I have even less time :) So anyway, let's get on with it.....

This week's sketch from Retro Sketches:

Plus these colors from Dynamic Duos:

Plus the challenge to 'Just Add Polka Dots' from Just Add Ink.....

Equals this card from me:

I just got both the flower stamp set, and the dotted background stamp, and have been pretty anxious to use them :)

As you can see, I've used my trusty Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder once again.  I can't help it, it's my favorite...there isn't a project that it doesn't look good with! I promise, I will try to branch out and use some of my others, I have quite a bit. All of the products I have used on this card are Stampin' Up! But, here is the break down for you....

Cardstock - Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Ink - Really Rust, Always Artichoke, Versamark
Stamps - Fabulous Florets, Distressed Dots
