Bella Blvd: What's New Wednesday

We're showing off projects made with the newest collections over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog, today.  I chose the Max collection...

Ladies' Man

This is one of my favorite photos of my son, Owen.  It was taken over 3 years ago, and I have never done anything with it. But, it was the first picture that I thought of when I was rummaging through my Max stash. I love everything about this collection. It really is perfect for boys of any age.

Supplies:Max: Text Me, That's My Boy, Shark Attack, Treasures & Text, Trinkets, Candid Cards; High Five Alpha Stickers: Brown-Cream

I've just recently busted my sewing machine out of hiding. I'm not great with it, so I'm starting small...with just a couple small lines through my title.  Baby steps....

Be sure to head over to Bella Blvd to see a couple more projects made with Max, and a few made with Family Forever.

Imaginisce: My Baby (Boy) and Creative Scrappers #262

I'm working on trying to get my 3 year old's baby book done. I know....sad, right? I came across this challenge from Creative Scrappers, and thought it was interesting...

Here is my take on it...

Little Moments

Supplies
Imaginisce: My Baby (Boy) -  Blue Moon and Stars, Cut Outs, Plastic Buttons, Adhesive Gems; i-rock tool, i-top tool,16 mm brads and punch
American Crafts: Neutrals Cardstock, Baker's Twine

I of course had to do some playing around to make it look right on my smaller page, but I think I made it work. One page down, and like - 30 more to go before this baby book is complete. I'd say, odds are pretty good that I'll be able to display it at his graduation open house...

Imaginisce: Scraplifted Page

Today we're sharing layouts inspired by fellow design team members over on the Imaginisce blog.  I chose this page created by Jodi Wilton:

Snow Kisses

Here is my take on it...

Super Star

I was inspired by the design of Jodi's layout, so I changed up the color combo and theme, and altered it a bit to fit my smaller page. There are a couple different ways I convert a 12x12 design to 8.5x11. One of them is to eliminate any white space, another is to make my page horizontal...or both as I did here.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Welcome Spring: Dainty Floral, Flying Colors; Perfect Vacation: Pack it Up, Anywhere you Go); i-Top Tool, 22 mm brads, i-Rock Tool,
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Neutrals Cardstock, Black Honey Thickers, Knock Out Border Punch

Be sure to head on over to Imaginisce to check out the other great scraplifted projects!

My daughters' 10 year pictures matched these papers perfectly! I used mostly neutral and solid colors just ot tone down the very colorful photos, using just a little bit of multicolored patterned paper to frame my crochet heart.

Molly: Unlimited Text, Borders, Sparkle & Shine, Sketch with Style, Paper Pieces, Trinkets, Treasures & Text; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Stripe, Hot Pink Dot; Crochet Hearts: Cotton Candy; Button Market: Pickle Squares

Bella Blvd: Pinterest Inspired

We're sharing Pinterest Inspired projects over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog today. Here is the Inspiration Photo...

I Love You 2

I was inspired by the photo in several obvious ways, such as the wood grain background, the stacked 'Love' title, and the hearts across the top. But, I also took some inspiration from the letters themselves by stacking 4 squares/rectangles with colors going from light to dark. I really liked the imperfect lines create by the threads where the colors blend, and tried to mimic that idea by off-setting the patterned papers. I also rounded the edges of the rectangles while keeping the corners on the squares, inspired by the look of the round 'O' against the other straight edged letters.

Supplies:Daily Chevies: Pink Arrows; Kiss Me: Love Notes, Flutter, Alpha+Bits, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Play Date: Catching Bugs, Alpha+Bits; Snapshots: Alpha+Bits; Love and Marriage: Smokeys in Love, Esther Fleming Floral, Alpha+Bits, Wedding Day Miniatures, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Engaged at Last: Alpha+Bits; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pony, Frosting, Punch; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; High Five Alpha Stickers: Pink-Red; Designer Tape: Navy Dot; Button Market: Merlot Flowers

What I love about these types of challenges, are the many different interpretations that come from the same idea.  Head on over to Bella Blvd to see more projects inspired from the same fabulous photo!

Imaginisce: Valentine's Inspiration

This week we're sharing some Valentine's layouts over on the Imaginisce Blog.  I chose to use the My Baby (girl) collection with my favorite photo of my girls...

Sister Love

Supply List:
Imaginisce: My Baby (Baby Bunnies, Sweet Baby Girl, Baby Girl Chevrons, Pink Elephants on Parade, Baby Girl Die Cut Tags, Baby Girl Plastic Buttons, Baby Girl Adhesive Gems)
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Glitter Tape, Bakers Twine, Daydream Thickers

The My Baby collection + Heart Dies = a perfect Valentine's project! I doodled inside the hearts with a black pen to make them stand out, but not before spattering my white background with black ink.

By adding some adhesive gems to my ink spatter, and matting my photo with silver glitter tape, I've added just the right amount of sparkle. Buttons threaded with Baker's Twine in the hearts' centers finish the look.
