CASE Study #91, The Play Date Cafe #132, CAS-ual Fridays #53

This weeks inspiration from CASE Study's May muse, Agnieszka Malyszek:

Plus these colors from The Play Date Cafe:

...and this challenge from CAS-ual Fridays:

Equals this card from me:

Oh, man! ..I almost ran out of time for this one :)

I got it done really quick, though.  If I would have had more time, I would have taken it to center my patterned paper better for my tag.  I would have made it so that my reinforced hole would have been centered on one of the polka dot circles.

But, oh well! I need to learn not to spend so much time on my projects, anyway...I could get so much more done!  That's it....

Supply List:
stamps - Stampin' Up! (It's Your Birthday)
ink - Stampin' Up! (Basic Grey)
cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Basic Black, More Mustard, Whisper White)
patterned paper - Lily Bee Design
punches - EK Success (border punch); Stampin' Up! (1/4 & 1/2 inch hole punches)
die - Stampin' Up! (Beautiful Butterflies)
embossing folder - Stampin' Up!(vintage wallpaper)
ribbon - Joann's Fabrics
rhinstone - Stampin' Up!

This was a ridiculously easy card :)

I ran mine base card through the embossing machine, stamped my rose twice on my second layer, sent my yellow border strip through my crimper, stamped my sentiment on a smaller white border, stuck it all together, added rhinestones......and bam! Done.

That's all, folks.....

Supply List:

stamps - Stampin' Up! (Congrats, Fifth Avenue Floral)

The Shabby Tea Room #113, Mojo Monday #240, Love to Create Challenge #14, Moxie Fab World - Damask and Brocade Challenge

This challenge from The Shabby Tea Room:

Plus this sketch from Mojo Monday:

Plus the Damask and Brocade Challenge from Moxie Fab World, and a 'For Mom/ or Special Lady' them from the Love to Create Challenge Blog....

Equals this card from me:

I always love the sketches from Mojo Monday, but I  have a hard time with them.  I don't know why, I just never know what to put where.  So, this card took me a lot longer than I would have liked :)

I thought from the colors, and what I took from the inspiration photo, and just how the whole thing turned out....this would make a perfect Mother's Day card for my grandma.

I used the technique found here to make my border for my circle. It was really easy, and I just used the rhinestones to cover up my cut marks. That's it!

Supply List:

stamps - Stampin' Up! (Special Greetings, Lot's of Thoughts)
ink - Stampin' Up! (Blue Bayou)
cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Blue Bayou, Whisper White, Crumb Cake)
patterned paper - Fancy Pants (pink damask); Simple Stories (text); Stampin' Up! (pink stripe)
rose - Making Memories
other - Stampin' Up! (rhinestones, border punch, sm scallop circle punch)
organdy ribbon - Joann Fabics
baker's twine - Bloomerie (Etsy Shop)
button - unknown

Tuesday Trigger: Vintage Vogue, Card Patterns #164, CAS-ual Fridays #51

The Tuesday Trigger: Vintage Vogue from Moxie Fab World:

Plus this sketch from Card Patterns:

and this challenge from CAS-ual Fridays:

Equals this card from me:

Ok, so it's very loosely based on the sketch. I started out using it, but really wanted to incorporate these butterflies onto the card. Also, instead of a border-ish banner, I stamped my sentiment on banners - and have them pointing in the opposite direction.

I thought about a small vellum butterfly where the button is on the sketch, but it just didn't look right.

I've been wanting to try this reinforced hole/tied together card thing for awhile, and it really seemed to fit this  one.  Anyway.....

Supply List:

stamps - Stampin' Up! (It's your birthday)
ink - Stampin' Up! (Basic Grey)
cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, vellum)
patterned paper - My Mind's Eye
glitter - Ranger (gold stickles)
gold pearls - Recollections
buttons - unknown
other - Stampin' Up! ( Linen Thread, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, 1/2 & 1/4 inch punches,Very Vanilla organdy ribbon)

Case Study #89, Mojo Monday #239, Unique Crafter's Challenge #3, Just Add Ink #116

This week's card from the May muse Agnieszka Malyszek over at CASE Study:

Plus this sketch from Mojo Monday:

Plus, the "Ribbons and Fibers" theme from the Unique Crafter's Challenge Blog...and the challenge to "Just Add...Mother" from Just Add Ink...

Equals this card from me:

I was inspired by the colors, and the damask print from the CASE Study card, although my colors are a little bit more subtle than Agnieszka's.

Since I deal mostly with 8.5 x 11 cardstock - my card size is 5.5 x 5.5, which is still a little bit big for my comfort zone...I probably will try 4.25 x 4.25 the next time I do a square card.

That's it! Here is the supply list....

stamps - Stampin' Up! (Happy Harmony, Special Greetings)
ink - Stampin' Up (Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey)
cardstock - Stampin' Up! (Basic Black, Whisper White)
patterned paper - My Mind's Eye (damask); Crate Paper (green); Stampin' Up! (orange)
ribbon - Fancy Pants
journal sticker - American Crafts
other - Stampin' Up! (button, linen thread, rhinestones, 1/2 inch circle punch)

cardstock - Whisper White
ink - So Saffron, Ridinghood Red, Cool Caribbean, Early Espresso
Early Espresso baker's twine
